text a Canadian number in Europe using Textplus free???

Question Posted Thursday April 4 2013, 8:56 am

I am from Canada. My boyfriend is gone to Italy on an EFtour for easter break. I have the app, TextPlus on my phone , and i was wondering, can i text his Canadian cell phone number for free using that app as long as i have a wifi connection? I've looked it up, and the site for TextPlus says "free international texting as long as in wifi" but there doesn't seem to be an exact answer for this question anywhere. I've already texted him using this app and he has replied, obviously it costs him money, but will it cost me?

No. When I lived back in Ohio, I called my best friend all the way from France, using TextPlus! It doesn't even cost me a dime.

You'll be fine. And even if it will cost you, it'll ask you for your credit card and stuff like that. But it won't cost you.
