I am sending this to help you understand why the other mod issued a warning on your account.
"Leaving in a tampon for over 8 hours can cause TSS (toxic shock syndrome) but that is in very rare cases. I've honestly left my tampon in for a whole 24 hours before...and I'm fine. Even if TSS were to happen, it's easily treatable. So don't worry about any of that."
TSS isn't rare at all. The fact that you left a tampon in for 24 hours, and are ok is kind of a miracle.
The other thing is that TSS isn't easily treatable. Not at all.
Usually, by the time the symptoms become critical it is too late to do much.
There can be as little as a few hours between being diagnosed with TSS, and being dead.
Please understand that nobody here has it out for you or anything like that, but something had to be done. You don't really want to tell people something that could cost people their lives, do you?
By the time your warning ends, you won't be able to edit your answer, so I am going to delete that answer. If you wish to re-answer it without the part that endangers her life, and the lives of the thousands of women who will eventually see your answer, please feel free.
Please, PLEASE be more careful about repeating things you are unsure of.
