Video Editing Software For Free

Question Posted Tuesday January 15 2013, 9:47 pm

I love making videos like MEP's (multi editors projects), AMV's (anime music videos) and MMV's (movie music videos). And lately i noticed the editor I use (windows movie maker) SUCKS! I cant do a lot of things like over lap video or proper affect and I need a new one! What kind of video editing software would you recommend? Preferably one I dont have to pay for and wont give me a virus when I download it. ~Cheers!

Im a 17 year old girl if that makes any difference

Windows Movie Maker is indeed a frustrating program. If your video is too large, or contains too much information, it constantly freezes up and you have to start over. At least that's what it did to me.

Now. I know you said preferably free, but the one I have in mind does cost $50. BUT. It is worth every penny. You will be very satisfied!

Corel VideoStudio Pro X5:

Or you can order a slightly older version (The one I use) for $24 on ebay. Free shipping, even:

You can Google search "Ulead VideoStudio 12 full version" and get several links to download that program for free. However, after having to buy a new computer, I don't trust free downloads.
Its worth it to me to buy the hard copy of the program. Especially since you can always search the internet for a better deal on that new version.

As a person who got hooked on Windows Movie Maker and had to find something better, I promise you that the VideoStudio programs are worth spending money on. Especially if you love working on that type of program, and spend a lot of time doing it. You'll definitely get your money's worth.

Hope that helped!
