How do I STAY motivated?

Question Posted Saturday December 29 2012, 12:49 am

19/f

I'm a sophomore in college and I'm finding it very difficult to motivate myself to work out and eat healthy. I'm 5'3 and a little over 100 lbs, so it's not that I'm trying to lose weight. But I know that I am not in shape. I never stick to a work out routine and I find it really hard to eat healthy because 1) healthy food isn't cheap! and 2) it's easier to grab fast food because it's cheap and doesn't require any meal planning. Sometimes I'll see pics of girls with really toned abs or legs and I'll workout for maybe 3 days then I quit. Also, I don't really know how to get into a healthy eating routine because I don't know what foods to buy that are cheap, healthy, and will last me a while so that I'm not constantly buying groceries. I know that I need to make these positive changes to my life, I just don't know how to STICK to them!

Well, even though healthy food is generally expensive ,I think it is the so called 'healthy food' you see on tv or supermarkets that cost a lot of money. You have lots of other healthy options that are not so expensive. Be it fruit or vegetables and so on..As for the physical exercise, you can try with a basic routine you follow for at least two days a week. Then, you gradually start intensifying it,that is,three or four days a week, but no more than that. It's all up to you hon. It's all a matter of discipline. Don't be afraid of it. Hope I helped you a little;)
