flare is correct in what she has said. Here in the U.S. it is Illegal under Federal Law to discriminate on the basis of age or sex. Now there are exceptions where by law you must be of a certain age or between certain ages. Other than that if you are healthy enough to do the work you cannot be discriminated against based on your age.

You can work wherever you are able to. It's illegal pretty much everywhere in the developed world to discriminate against someone because of their age.

But of course if a job required heavy manual labor and your body is unable to handle that, then it wouldn't be worth applying and it would be reasonable for an employer to ask if you would be okay with that.

But yes, you are able to do any job, at any age.
