Joining a Sorority

Question Posted Monday September 24 2012, 4:23 pm

18/f

I'm a freshman in college and a commuter student and I am considering joining a sorority in the spring semester. I am a little nervous about this because I don't know what to think and I want to make sure I'll be meeting the right people if I end up rushing. Are the stereotypes of sororities and frats true? Should I stay away or decide to join?

It depends on the sorority. There are a lot of sororities out there that have a bad name, there's peer pressure and what not, but not all of them are bad. Do some research on the sorority, and ask around about it. Then based off of that see if you want to join. If you do join, just be careful and don't let them pressure you into doing something you don't want to. I hope i helped.
