Some people stop taking the medication as soon as they start feeling better. But the infection is still active, but just not noticeable. So stopping the medication means that they grow again. Not only does the infection start all over, but it is now immune to that antibiotic. So then you have to take a stronger one. So that's why you should always finish the course of medication.
How can you prevent infections? Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. These boost your immune system, and prevent infections.
What next? See you doctor asap, and finish the course of medication. If you already have an infection, you can't prevent it. You can only prevent something before it occurs. So seeing your doctor for medication is your best option. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
