Should I talk to someone another person told me not to trust?

Question Posted Sunday July 22 2012, 12:08 am

I have had a rough start in life. Like I took it to the extreme that I wanted to commit suicide. I have a survival story that is so horrifying, it made others cry. People told me that I should talk to them if I need to be consoled. Recently there is a person that I really want to talk to about my life, but my grandmother/mother/therapist told me I shouldnt because I couldn't trust that this person could keep whatever I tell that person to itself. But this person is convincing me that I can trust them and I can always talk to them, but at the same time, I have to trust my grandmother's instincts when it comes to trusting people. What should I do?!

it's up to you. if youtrust them, you can. if you're afraid of what others will say, then just dont tell others you told this person. its your decision. trust me, ive been to your point.
