Baptism

Question Posted Sunday May 6 2012, 11:01 pm

Can anyone explain batism to me? I am baptized, but my boyfriend is not; yet he believes in God. Is it true if someone isn't baptised they will not go to "heaven?"

Greetings...1Peter3:23...and Matthew 28:19...Please keep in mind John 14:15...
In the Book of Acts, new believers were baptized in the name of Jesus (Acts 2:38;Acts 4:12..Acts 8:12; 8:16; 10:48; 19:5)...

Not necessarily. Some people believe different things. I have been to a few different churches, and one says, that as long as you have been saved, or you believe in god, than you'll go to heaven, and some say that you'll go to hell UNLESS your babtised.

Honestly, God knows everything. He knows if you believe in him, and what not. Everyone sins, so I don't see why Baptism is such a big deal with going to His Kingdom.

the Bible says that a person must be born again by water baptism in the name of the father the son and the holy spirit to receive the kingdom. so yes a person must be baptised in the name of the father the son and the holy spirit. are baptism is a symbol that shows that we have left our former sinful life to do Gods will.
