Private School Scholarships

Question Posted Saturday May 5 2012, 9:15 pm

13/f I need advice! If I were to go to a private school instead of the public school I'm going to now, would I have a better chance at receiving a scholarship for a basket-ball or soccer college or university?

You have an equal chance of receiving either. All that matters is HOW GOOD you are at one sport. If you are set on receiving a scholarship, you should focus *most* your efforts into one sport. I say most, because it is always good to be versatile and have a broad understanding of sports...schools will also take this into consideration and view you as overall athletic. For basketball, height is important, and soccer, speed and foot skills. Since you're still very young, you have time!! For now, just play both and see which one you are truly better at, and then when you're sure which one is your true passion, begin to concentrate on that, and sending tapes to schools. GOODLUCK!!!!:)
