2 nights ago I couldn't sleep until 3 in the morning and got 4 hours of sleep then last night we had to stay up till one in the morning to pick my brother up from work. But he ended up being late and we left around 2:30 am. I fell asleep at 4 in the morning. Then had to wake up around 8. So another four hours. My mom said my eyes were bloods shot and that I look very tired but I ddin't feel it at all. Now that it is the middle of the night and I want to fall asleep I can't. My body is tired and all but I just can't. I didn't have coffee, didn't exersice, and I have a comfortable, quiet room. How can I fall asleep? I have school tommorrow! Thanks!

The chamomille really helps me sleep when I have a bit of insomnia. And yes, make sure you have no televisions or electronics on. Also, I go to the gym everyday and get on some cardio machine and get my heartrate to about 120 and keep it there for about 20 minutes. It helps relieve stress which is what keeps me awake sometimes, that way when I get to sleep...I stay asleep. Sometimes people go into light sleep and stay there because of the tv and stress...we need lots of rem and deep sleep which is why I do that. Hope I was able to help :) [ smartnsassy's advice column | Ask smartnsassy A Question ]
mannequin24 answered Sunday March 25 2012, 11:50 pm: I have problems falling asleep as well. First I recommend going to see a your physician or the next time you see them, tell them about this. They can help you the most by offering help and tips that are well suited for you. I also recommend winding down the last 30 minutes or so before you want to go to sleep. For me, this generally is lamp on (instead of my overhead light) and all electronics off except maybe some peaceful music. I sit there and try to relax by reading a book or just clearing my head. Hopefully this will help :) [ mannequin24's advice column | Ask mannequin24 A Question ]
