Possibly but if that is the case that's extremely shallow on his part.

Popularity should have no effect on who you date, It's not a matter of who is prom queen or prom king. (That was just an example)

Dating someone should be about who you like. Who makes you feel comfortable and you can be yourself around.

Honestly, If I were to compare myself to my partner today from who I was in High School it's off the charts.

In High School I was the perfect definition of a loner. I was the quiet type that had a small group of friends but I also was rebellious and always in trouble.

My partner? Not so much. My partner was popular had a lot of friends and the social butterfly of the crowd.

Again, It has nothing to do with who you are and what your social status is. It's about liking you for who you are inside and out.

It sounds like the guy lost interest, If you were a main priority in his life then he would make an effort to put you first. If I were in your shoes I'd be thankful he passed. I wouldn't want to be stuck with someone who is judgmental and conceited.
