I am having these really bad dreams and I don't know what to do

Question Posted Sunday March 4 2012, 2:54 pm

So my friend who I've known since I was (she is like my sister) started to think about suicide and yeah she got mental help for that but I have had these really realistic nightmares where I lose somebody I love because they killed themselves. I have had 2 so far. In one my friend Tieran messages me on facebook saying "ik you are at school and thats why I'm messaging you this. I am gonna kill myself today its not your fault though. I thought you needed to know though" So i message her back saying "I'm not at school don't do it" but she is offline at the time. So i start yelling at my mom to drive me to her house and I call her dad saying what happened. When I get to her house I jump over the fence in her yard cause I think they might have the back door open to let the dogs out. They do to so I run in the door to their kitchen and find her with a knife in her chest bleeding out. I put her head in my lap and call 911. The only problem is I don't know the address so I have to waste sometime getting the address. The whole time I'm yelling at her to stay with me and don't leave me. The ambulance comes and Tieran has been bleeding out the whole time and I can hear the doctors saying "its to late" so some of the people and scrubs are holding me back while I'm screaming and crying. Then I woke up it was so realistic I had to check facebook when i got up just to make sure it was just a dream. Then in the other one I'm at a new place to eat food and i'm with my friends we finish eating and my mom and I start walking back to our house talking about why my sister didn't come eat with us. Then my dad runs up to meet us and whispers something in my mom's ear and you can tell its bad by his face. My mom looks at me and says "Stephie passed out and never woke up. We think she is dead." So we get to the house and find my sister dead on the sofa and a doctor tells us she died because she was starving herself to death. Then i woke up and never went to bed. What do I do? I don't want to be afraid of sleeping any more. Should I get some help?

I am going through something like that now. I have had dreams every night the pasy 2 weeks and they all are horrible. I even woke up with a bleeding head in one if them. It helped me a lot when I talked to my mom about it. Or for you maybe you should tell the friend you mentioned in the begginning about the dreams. She may be able to give peace of mind that it is all ok. I know this would be weird but talk to your school conselor maybe. My most recommended thing is to seriously try medetation. Meditation helps me a lot, I haven't been able to do it recenlty though which is probably why my dreams stink right now.
I hope I helped a little!

Let me tell you, dreams are things we don't think about during the day. People say, dreams are the message that try and tell you stuff or dreams are not mportant...we all have are opinions. My friends brother had cancer and my friend said that one night she had a dream where her brother just walked away like left and the next day her brother died. Heart braking, I know. But I believe dreams are the things that warn us. I suggest you talk with a family member about your feelings and tell them your thoughts. Sharing your thoughts with someone will make you feel better. Sometimes we just have bad dreams, you neer know what this could mean so don't let this change you farther than a warning. Be happy and carry on :)
