laptop troubles and Scared to tell my parents

last year I unstailed windows 7 and my mom went a fixed the laptop. now I put windows 8 consumer preview on my laptop and microsoft decided to wait till after I downloaded it to tell me I cant unstaill it and now if I tell my mom she is gonna get super mad at me. is there a way to remove windows 8 consumer preview without reinstalling windows 7 and if theres not please give me some advice on telling my mom about the laptop
