Instead, you can learn to control your nerves by trying to remain as calm as possible and just remember to keep going if you make a mistake. Recovery is one of the things that is most important in situations like this. The people listening to you know your human and that you make mistakes. It's really important to pretend like it didn't happen and just keep going. In all of the years that I've had to do solo performances or auditions for piano or the clarinet, I still get nervous, but I remember these things and they help me through it.
