Question Posted Saturday December 31 2011, 3:22 am
I am absolutly in love with theatre. I am a theatre performance major and love every aspect of the art.I am however, an actor most of the time. I am just wondering if I am really good enough to make it in the real world. I have started out quite promising in my school. I received an acting scholarship and was the only freshman cast in the shows this year. However, I am a decent sized freshmen fish in a very small pond. How do i know if I am really good enough to make it as an actor? I don't want to waste my time, you know?? I am so conflicted, because acting is the language of my heart and soul and it is all I am really comfortable doing in my life. Really need some advice here please!

If you enjoy doing it, and believe you have a promising future, than go for it. I will tell you though, you might not always make it to where you want to be, and for that case, have a back-up plan. Try out new things and new experiences to help you find something else you will enjoy just as much. You could always try career searching.
So continue with what you love. Believe in yourself and what you love to do in life. Make sure to explore other possibilities that you can fall back on just incase.
