Verizon texts from unblocked numbers?

Question Posted Monday October 17 2011, 1:45 pm

A little over a month ago I blocked this guy from texting/calling me from the Verizon website.
The block will expire in a couple months. I was just wondering if when the block expires, will I get all the text he's tried to send to me after I blocked him?

You know like when you turn your cell phone off for some time and when you turn it on you suddenly get all the texts that were sent to you while your phone was off?

Just curious. Thanks in advance!

It's not that it's an "issue". I actually wouldn't have minded if I got the texts. I was just curious..

You shouldn't ever get the messages. That's the point of blocking.

If it's that much of an issue, you can always change your number. Sometimes there's a fee involved but if you explain your situation you might be able to get a new one for free. Call customer service, don't go into the store. Going to the store, at least in my area, does NOTHING. They can't do much in store, but customer service has the power to do almost anything. If this guy was harassing you, they may waive the service charge of getting a new number (it's $25).

Also, text messages "expire" (at least, they used to...) and after a certain time period they're NEVER sent. So even if you did get messages after a block, most would be expired by then :)

You won't receive any of the texts or voicemails. If you want to be 100% sure just call verizon.
