You have taken the first and hardest step by asking for help. The next steps get easier.
You do not say how old you are. If you are old enough to see a doctor on your own then make an appointment to see your family doctor. If you are to young, under 14, the ask mom or dad to make an appointment for you.
You need to ask you family doctor to screen you for depression. There are a number of reasons for depression especially in teenagers, now referred to as teenage depression. In years past what is now diagnosed as teenage depression was called a phase, something a teenager would grow out of. For the most part they did but with many problems. Today we know teenage depression is also linked with hormonal imbalances brought on by puberty and doctors can easily deal with this.
There are also some physical reasons that could be the cause of a person becoming depressed. A complete physical check-up should reveal any physical reason for your depression.
The next step after recognizing you have a problem and asking for help is getting some help. That next step is seeing your family doctor and explaining how you feel. Ask to be screened for depression, then follow the doctors advise and instructions. ]
