Sports and your period

Question Posted Wednesday August 24 2011, 9:50 am

Okay so I'm 5"4 & I'm about 105 lbs. I'm very active with sports & running & working out. I'm noticing that my period is very light this month & is a mixture between old & a little bit of new blood. I also got it like 15 days late. Does being bery active cause anything that's going on with my period?

Yes, being overly active causes your period to be weird. Some people get lighter periods, some don't even get them at all. My friend is a gymnast and she never gets her period. Whereas I am athletic but I still get mine, but they are light. It varies girl to girl.
