are onitsuka tiger shoes running shoes?

im looking for running shoes and i fell in love with a comfy pair of neon pink and green onitsuka tiger shoes. the sales person said they are great running shoes, but they will say anything for you to buy it. i looked online and i cant figure out if they are running shoes and i dont want to hurt my feet if they arent. i run cross country and generally 3 or 4 miles a day. are they running shoes? i realllly dont want to return them haha i love it

This site gives a little background information on the company of onitsuka tiger shoes. Basically what it says is the company makes a brand of "sports shoes" and clothing. I would assume that since running is considered a sport in modern day culture that what the guy said is true. You won't have to return them afterall.
