Sweating = gross: I sweat a lot more than most girls
Question Posted Monday July 25 2011, 2:57 pm
OK this may be a dumb question, but just need some answers. I normally sweat a lot more than most girls, I am 21 years old and a college volleyball player. I am not in perfect shape, but I do work out a lot and would like to think im overall pretty healthy. However I feel like lately I have been sweating a lot more, like all over my body, even from my arms and legs. It has been very humid lately..so could that just be it?
Is there anyway to stop sweating from my face and head/neck as much? it gets really bad even if im just sitting outside when its hot
Xui answered Monday July 25 2011, 4:01 pm: It's normal to sweat especially while playing sports, If you sweat constantly and excessively then it could be a medical problem. Here is a website more on that information: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
If you fit these symptoms then you should consult a doctor.

I'm a volleyball player too!
Anyways, I think its just the humidity. It has been very hot everywhere lately. I live in minnesota (way up north) and its been getting to about 100 degrees fahrenheit everyday and its normally not that hot.
Sweating is good for you though. It gets all the yucky stuff out of your system. I don't really know how to control it besides keeping a fan or air conditioning on around you. Use some good deodorant. wear a sports headband around your head to keep sweat from dripping on your face and neck.
I wouldn't really worry about anything because sweating is normal. But if you're really worried about excessive sweating, then talk to your doctor about it.
