Spice it up?

Question Posted Saturday July 23 2011, 1:08 am

Me: 17/F
Him: 15/M

Every single one of our dates has been watching movies at my house, and I accidentally fell asleep on him one time too and I feel terrible about it. I have my license and he's got a job right now... I'm wondering what I can do to make our relationship better, what kind of dates can we do, what movies to watch, something! He's too shy to tell me what he wants, so I'm thinking I'm gonna have to take charge again. What're some things we could do?

He's younger then you, and probably feels a little powerless because he can't drive and has to depend on you for that. He doesn't want you to have to chauffer him around.

Try getting out in your area and doing something. Bowling, mini golf, ice skating, swimming, etc. My boyfriend and I like to go for walks in the parks or in the woods. Walking around the mall is even fun if you are tired of sitting at home.

You can try a group outing to a theme park, or a double date. Go out to eat somewhere, go for ice cream. Go see a movie in the theatres. Drive to the beach or a lake one day, if possible. Go for a picnic! At state parks they sometimes have boat docks where you can rent canoes or paddle boats, this is another fun outside activity. You can go to the dollar store or five and below and find some stupid stuff to play with.

Be creative and ask him for suggestions sometimes.
And don't pressure him into anything, the age difference of two years may not seem like a lot but when you are this young, it can be huge.

Good luck,

-Abby
