over eating Hey there. I'm a 20 year old female. I'm about 5'7 and 175 pounds. Apparently i hide it well because a lot of people say i only look like i'm 145-150. I've noticed the past couple months i've gained about 30 pounds. I do have a problem with over eating. I cant help it i feel like its out of control. I've stopped eating fast food completely this past month and the scale cant tell. I even cut out soda and have been drinking water. My problem is that if i dont have the "engorged" feeling i want to keep eating. Even if i'm not starving hungry any sudden signs of i can fit food in my stomach ill eat. I do have a YMCA gym membership but i find it hard to get motivation to go. My husband is deployed and i want to get in better shape for when he comes home in November but once again no motivation. Any advice on how i can tackle this issue? I'm desperate! Thanks! and i do rate

Hey :) I'm 20/F and had this problem a few months ago. I couldn't imagine a meal that didn't leave my stomach feeling extremely full. Now, everything has changed and for the better! I eat my calories throughout 4 separate mini-meals. Since I wake up so late (noon) I eat my first meal then and stop at 8pm. The smaller time frame between meals has helped a lot. Make sure that you are eating enough protein/fat to help you feel satisfied. Also, fiber like in apples can give you a healthy full feeling. ]
I HAVE THE SAME problem. Let me tell you...it's not easy but I have managed to turn around. At the most i reached about 208 pounds but starting a month ago....I have managed to burn almost 15 pounds off. I had a problem with over eating as well. What my parents did was get me a YMCA membership and i can't go. I find it hard to just go because i just dont feel like it.
I have great advice to give you.
1. Don't do those horrible crazy diets.
2. You colon shall be you're best friend...so clean it. I found it easy ti shed pounds after cleaning out toxins.......hydrotherapy is not a bad idea.
3. RESEARCH. I found so much valuable info online about food. Internet shall also be you're best friend. I found free calorie counters that monitor progress. Stats show that people who count calories are twice as much likely to shed pounds.
4. Share with a friend. Don't do this alone. Tell someone. I believe that it's very important so you won't get discouraged.
5. Find FUN exercise. I found DDR which is like a dancing arrow game and i shed almost a 1000 calories a day with that thing. If it's fun....you can actually look forward to exercise.
6. WATER.....helps you during exercise and weight loss.
I believe you can find the rest on your own.

First off, starving yourself actually helps you gain weight so this is not a good idea. I know that exercising is not a big motivated for anyone. You should do something you like and that requires some sort of exercise. As a twenty year old I am sure you face a lot of stress, ever think about getting a bag and doing kick boxing or even mixed martial arts. Or if you are not trained to defend yourself against a surprise attack, maybe some self-defense classes? The point is to keep your mind busy and forget about food. Do you tend to eat the most when you are bored? Maybe you should pick up a new hobby such as writing, music, scrap booking, etc. If you keep your mind occupied, you will find yourself only eating when you are actually hungry. ]
