It's not just a womans job. Alot of times they say this because they say most woman mature before men do. Im my opinion I would like someone who is mature who doesnt sit and talk or text on their cell phone the entire time. my kids are full of energy and love to be play with and to constantly run. I need someone to keep up with them rather thats a male or female as long as i feel i can trust them ]
In today's' world there is no job that is exclusively a mans or women's job, with certain exceptions such as modeling.
At one time careers such as pilots, train operator, crane operator and other jobs such as these were exclusively men's jobs. Today you will find women doing them. Jobs such as nurses, child care providers and teachers were considered women's work. Today you find men doing these jobs as well.
Equality among the sexes has opened up a whole new world of opportunities to both sexes. If you have an opportunity to make some spending money, go for it. There is nothing unmanly about baby sitting. ]
Men can babysit, honestly I would prefer a male baby sitter for my son than a female because boys wanna hang out with boys... dont listen to them you can do it :) ]
Hey so I see how people would tell you thats a womans job, I have yet to see a guy in any of my sons daycares, however don't be settle for "your a guy blah blah....." start building credentials, rapport, and cliental by baysitting family first and spreading the word. Maybe working with a daycare so moms can see that your trustworthy. The secret is gaining the trust of parents, you dont have to be a girl. Good Luck!! ]
