What Does My Friend mean by "Your naive, that's why guys 'mess' with you"?

Question Posted Wednesday July 6 2011, 12:12 am

So I was on the phone with my friend and she said that I was naive and that's why guys like "messing" with me.(And no messing isn't used in a dirty way it's just another form of joking around I guess). Anyways I'm actually confused what does she mean by I'm naive and that's why guys "mess" with me.
And what does she mean by me being naive about everything

I dont really agree with the rest of the post because i think your friend is looking out for you. She is saying this as a warning...like your very guilable and believe people easily because you see the good in people. Its a good quality to see good but it means your not really seeing when people are trying to hurt you with the jokes. Or you believe guys that dont always have the best intentions. I think she is talling you this so you dont get hurt. your naive with guys so be cautious...if your really concerned ask her about it. Hope i have helped...if you need anything else inbox me.

she probably means that you are gullible and fall for the stuff that these guys say, in other words she believes that you are easy to fool and will believe anything anybody says

the definition of naive is
(copied definition from dictionary.com)
1. having or showing unaffected simplicity of nature or absence of artificiality; unsophisticated; ingenuous.
2. having or showing a lack of experience, judgment, or information; credulous: She's so naive she believes everything she reads. He has a very naive attitude toward politics.
3. having or marked by a simple, unaffectedly direct style reflecting little or no formal training or technique: valuable naive 19th-century American portrait paintings

by this she is saying that you are not very bright... or smart when it comes to stuff they are picking on you about
