Period turned brown and stinks after starting BC?
When your period was brown and stuff, because I just started birth control and so is mine. Is it normal for it to smell bad too? Because this is kind of freaking me out!

Its ok I am on birth control. Thats normal becasue if you just started thats the pills starting to work on your body it will slowly get better you just have to give it time I promise.

I had the same side effects when I was on NuvaRing. BC has been known to do some crazy stuff for the first few months. If it's REALLY freaking you out, switch to a different BC.

This is probably normal, it isn't odd for period blood to come in a variety of colors, consistencies, and odors. This has happened to me, and I've never been on birth control.
If your next couple periods are like this, you could call your doctor and ask if you have anything to worry about. Likely your period will go back to normal or be even lighter because of birth control.
