Im a 13 year old girl and I think around my age is a good time to start wearing tampons well maybe next year. are they easy to put in and do they hurt? when did you guys start wearing them or when do you think is a good time to wear them?
awesomeal16 answered Friday June 24 2011, 5:19 pm: No, they do not hurt if you insert them right, and 13 is how old I was, If you swim or do sports, they are better than pads. If your ready then 13 is a fine age to start. [ awesomeal16's advice column | Ask awesomeal16 A Question ]

I started wearing tampons maybe a year after I started getting my period, which would have been 7th grade. If you need help figuring out how to put them in, most tampons come with instructions for insertion. [ runswithscissors's advice column | Ask runswithscissors A Question ]

The first few times, you might find it a little tricky to put in, and it could hurt a little if you don't know what you're doing. You can start wearing tampons during your period at any age.
