My cousin stayed at my house last night and she woke up screaming and crying because she had a nightmare and I didn't know what to do to help her. I gave her a hug and a kiss and she was still crying. She's 18. I'm 24. Whatelse could I have done to comfort her ?

Sometimes people cry. You'll just make things worse if you don't let them get it out of their systems. Let them know you'll be there if they need you, then leave them to calm themselves down. You can't force it. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]
