Do you have a Big Lots in your area? They have a digital camera section with new / not refurbished cameras for under $100. Brand names like Nikon Coolpix, Polaroid, Samsung just to name a few!

I actually bought the Nikon for $49.99 and it has pretty cool features like uploading videos on YouTube and Facebook straight from your camera. So try Big Lots!

Or you can always buy one on eBay!

I got this camera for my 18th birthday. At the time, it was $80 at Best Buy.

I think that exact model is discontinued now, because it's only available from third-party sellers. Samsung point and shoot cameras are wicked good, though. If you can find that exact camera (it came in pink and silver too, if I remember correctly) get it. It takes steady pictures easily, which is good because I have shaky hands.

I've had six digital cameras so far and absolutely hated Nikon. They make fantastic SLR and dSLR cameras; point and shoot, not so much. Canon is good too, but they're more expensive.

Test out the models in store and see what kind takes the kind of pictures you like and has features you want.
