How to clear face from being red etc.

Question Posted Tuesday May 31 2011, 8:15 pm

Hello, I'm 15

The way my face looks really makes me self conscious. It's red, and when I try to take a good picture of myself my face is all blotchy not clear.

I have enough facial products, and the ones I'm using work alright. I use Cetaphil in the morning, and I use Deep Clean by Neutrogina at night..I try to avoid wearing make up but I do use this compact that's suppose to clear up your complexion. It's by Elf..nothing really works..I'd just like some advice for this. I have pretty fair looking skin..

Does anyone have this problem also? I just want some solutions.

Thanks!

try washing your face 2x a day. morning and night. I use clean and clear deep action wash, because from my personal experience, neutrogina doesn't really help me. but that could just be my skin. then I use Aveeno clear complexion cream. It has salyic acid in it, which means it treats acne and blemishes too. Ever since i've been using this product (for a good 2 months now) my skin hasn't been dry at all :) It really does help and Aveeno is such a good brand because all its ingredients are natural and very good for you. Then I use oxy spot cream at night. I just apply a thin layer (thin layer actually helps it more) over the acne at night and in the morning i wash it off and it really does help. As for the redness, I really havne't suffered with red skin. It could be roseaca (like the other person said). You'll never know unless you go to a dermatologist or doctor and figure it out. Theres some kind of lotion out there that has a green base tint to it. Red and green are complimentary colors, which means if it has a green base, it will tone out the red in your skin and make it more even. You can also buy a powder concealer. but make sure its loose powder because it looks more natural that way, compared to liquid because that can look cakey.

It's actually a medical condition believe it or and not something any of the creams etc. etc. you have tried will handle for you. It's called Rosesca (sp?) and it produces the constant blush, redness, and hat you describe. It's quite common and one of the more famous cases is Bill Clinton. It's nothing at all to be ashamed of.

What you need to do is see your family doctor and describe the embarassment you feel and how it affects you and get a referal to a dermatologist who will know the proper way to treat it and will likely give you medication--which is what you need to control it.
