my xbox360 is messing up

well my xbox 360 wont read the disk on the first time. even when i turn it on and a game is already in it it will say open tray instead of play game. sometimes i have to pop in 2 or 3 different discs to get it to work and it usually takes fifteen tries .. whats wrong with it and how i can i fix it

Mine has the same issue. All you can really do is deal with it. Replacing the CD drive costs too much to bother with.
