This guy in school told one of my friends that he had a crush on me but apparently he didnt tell her to have her tell me because I only found out because she told one of my other friends and she accidently burted it out to me. So now I know and I want to know if he really likes me because he doesn't act like he does. Like when I try to talk to him he doesnt say much and he doesnt really do things that hint at him liking me. I like him and i really want him to do something to prove that he really does like me and not have to go on what my friend said. What should I do? How will I know if he does like me and is just being shy about it or if he really doesnt like me? 15/f

If you like him, I'll assume you two are already on talking terms. So try to get to know him better as a person. Spend more time with him, whether its at school or just hanging out. But you have to remember to be patient, so take your time in learning more about him. Then gradually, drop hints to him that you like him. Flirt/tease him a little and see how he responds to that. He may be the type to not show his emotions as he is probably scared of rejection, so try to make the first move. It may make it easier for him to admit that he does like you. And if he doesn't really respond to your hints, then he probably isn't interested. But if you still really want to know, you should just be straight about it and ask, to avoid any future "what if"'s.
