Multiballer answered Wednesday March 30 2011, 4:11 pm: Condoms are a barrier contraceptive method that are designed to tightly hug the skin around their open end. If they are used correctly, they are extremely reliable, but here are some hints to ensure that reliability stays high:
First, always ensure that they are unrolled over the penis the right way the first time. Pre-cum can contain sperm and it only takes one to cause a pregnancy. Each load carries millions upon billions. If you goof up, use a new condom!
Never use more than one at a time. Putting two on one penis at once will cause the latex to rub against themselves which will increase the likelihood of a rip. Rips are, like, totally uncool!
Don't use Vaseline or other oil-based lubricants. Mineral Oil? Baby Oil? Both are bad. They chemically eat rubber like bleach can eat skin. Instead, shell out a few bucks for a water-based lubricant, such as KY Jelly or whatever. Bonus: KY comes in all kinds of forms, from plain ol' slippery when wet to flavoured, icy-hot, and BBQ Sauce (I'm sure I made a few of those up, but you get the idea).
If you can't get a lubricant, then get into more foreplay, as your body can also provide its own lubricants. Also, make sure your condoms come pre-lubricated. The more slippery things get, the better sex is for both of you, and the happier your condoms will be.
