18/f
typical; i have no idea what to get my boyfriend for valentine's day. sadder yet is that due to a recent emergency, literally ALL i have to spend on his gift is bout 25 dollars. so on top of not knowing what to get him, my choices are pretty much limited. what do i get him that obviously has to be pretty cheap that won't SEEM cheap, or make it seem i don't care? because i really do; i've been racking my brain but he happens to be very difficult to shop for. he's not the typical guy in that he's not into sports at all. he's not the cologne type either. he's into technology and video games but all the good stuff is either expensive and/or he already has it. and we've only been together for 6 months; we haven't had sex, nor are we planning anything close to it, so you can cross anything related off your suggestion list if you were thinking that :) but seriously. any ideas?

You could save a lot of money by giving him home made things.
You could make cute coupons that say things like "One free kiss" or "Good for one back massage". You could also personalize them with his favorite things or your inside jokes. You could even print these on the computer then they are basically free.
You could make him a special treat with ingredients you already have in your kitchen. Most bags of chocolate chips have a cookie recipe on the back, and the ones made from scratch are DELICIOUS. The ingredients are pretty basic and you wouldn't even know you had all of them in your house, but you do. You could decorate them with pink and red icing (you can buy that or even make it if you have food coloring).
You could go to a craft store like AC Moore and find a picture frame you can decorate with paint, stickers, puffy paint, glitter, etc. Most guys would love a picture to put in their room but either don't have the artisic ability to get it together or feel to manly to get their own picture frame hahha.
I was just at the dollar store, and they have a HUGE selection of valentines day stuff. They have nice picture frames, candles, decorative cards, boxes, bags, wrapping paper, tissue paper, candy, etc. You could put together a gift basket for under $10 or $5.
You could even make a theme, like a 'spa' basket where its all about treating him; with candles, lotion, etc.
Or you could put your money to something fun, like taking him ice skating or bowling, which are relatively cheap.
Be creative, think about his personality, and have fun with it. Since you haven't been together too long, it could be an opportunity to make him laugh instead of being gushy and romantic.
