NURSING for Lamar Univserity

Question Posted Monday January 31 2011, 12:04 am

These are my options - Nurse Anesthetist, Neonatal Nurse and Family Nurse practitioner.

I keep on going to website after website searching for a clear understanding
they always say.. u need this..bla bla bla.. and also this

i was wondering if i could have the total number year of school that i would need from lamar university to become either a neonatal nurse, nurse anesthetist or family nurse practitioner.
i am interested in all of them, and all i ask is for a clear amount of years of college schooling before i can go straight into the workforce and receive payment.
thank you!

Hi there,

There are too many variables to give you a true answer here. The only people who will be able to answer this will be the folks at Lamar University.

Why? Because there are courses you may, or may not, need based on what you took in high school, or subjects you are either weak or strong in.

Here is the general contact information numbers for Lamar:

General Information
(409) 880-8888

For assistance please call
(409) 880-7011

... and here is the directory for staff in the nursing program:

Good luck, and I hope you do well in your programs.

P.S. Remember that you CAN do the work in less time, or more, depending on your skills. I do know people who have earned BS degrees in two years or less.
