heart problems?

Question Posted Monday December 27 2010, 5:50 am

I'm 14 and i was eating dinner just now when my heart started hurting, but i didn't think it was that big of a deal so i ignored it. it stopped after a while but suddenly my upper body (arms, shoulders, below the neck) started feeling like it was burning or something. the feeling is hard to describe. i was freaked out so i looked up heart diseases but i dont have any of the symptoms listed? should i be worried?

Even if you don't have any of the symptoms listed online, its a good idea to see a doctor. Not that you have heart disease, but something isn't right.

Its important to listen to what your body is trying to tell you. Never rely on online sites to give you the answers. So many serious diseases and so many minor problems all share the same symptoms. Only a doctor can interpret them correctly. Looking things up online can result it being scared unnecessarily.

Since it did go away I don't know that I would be be real worried, but please tell your mom and see a doctor. Hopefully you can find out the problem so that it doesn't happen again. Don't ignore it. Always listen to your body. If something isn't normal, get it checked out.
