I am trying to stop, I haven't done it in awhile. We all know it's not a good way to cope with it. What everyone says it's because when someone hurts themselves, they'd rather feel that pain to make them forget about their actual problems.
Suicide is not the same as self harm. People who commit suicide sometimes hurt themselves but not everyone who self harm is suicidal.
Suicide is actually killing yourself. Not all people who hurt themselves want to die. [ lightoftruth923's advice column | Ask lightoftruth923 A Question ]

One self harm is NOT the same as suicide. Self-Harm is anything from scractching or cutting yourself with sharp objects, banging your head against a solid object, pulling your: eyebrows, eyelashes, arm or head hair. And other things I will have to go look I have a book on S.I. It is called Cut. Suicide is killing yourself. You know if you are suicidal sometimes if you feel hopeless every day, giving away possesions, um talking to people like a last goodbye sort of thing.
