Dream

Question Posted Monday November 15 2010, 9:19 pm

17 F

I recently had a dream that I can't seem to get out of my head for some reason. I've already looked up some of the symbols, but this is what happened.

I was in some sort of an attic room and there was a bathroom and closet. In the closet, there were two side doors, one on the left and one on the right. I opened the door on the left to see one of my male classmates, whom I do find attractive and respectable, dead. There was blood everywhere. He had committed suicide. I was PETRIFIED. I then opened the left closet to find, in the dream, his girlfriend who had also committed suicide; she was also covered in blood. I turned out of the closet to the bathroom to find a tub filled with blood and a dead baby.

I NEVER have violent or scary dreams, and this really freaked me out. I am not friends with this guy, and he's actually single right now.

What could it possibly mean? I am not sexually active either, so this can't symbolize my fear of pregnancy/abortion.

Symbols:
To see someone commit suicide in you dream, highlights your concerns for that person. Consider what characteristics and qualities in that person you may be trying to "kill" and annihilate in your own self. Perhaps you hope that you are not like this person and are making attempts to get rid of those traits within your own self.

- I respect this guy a lot, and I can't see any aspect of him that I'd want to kill. Also, I didn't see him commit suicide.

The blood symbol doesn't offer much in terms of this dream. I am not a depressed person; in fact, I've never been happier in life, so why did I have such a violent and gruesome dream about someone I care about who does not seem depressed/suicidal when I seem him everyday?

oh my god...
this, in literary terms, is what is referred to as foreshadowing....
seriously though, as a person who has horrible violent dreams on a regular basis, I can postulate that this may be an embodiment of your fears, or, as the previous columnist stated, an indicator that you should sever emotional ties. the subconscious mind is a strange dimension, I advise you to look up in psychiatry papers, a possible interpretation. Sigmund freud did a lot of work in that area, though his conclusions usually wind up somewhere in a crackpot direction, his logic is usually sound.
to give you some amusement, I will attach a wonderful segment I wrote up last week at a FOB in Afghanistan- it is called "The Passing of The Ferret"
Dream sequence setting: I had apparently knocked a chick up, much to my surprise in my dream, and coincidentally, (friend) had also undone his vascectomy and was now expecting a son with his wife, (friend's wife). flash forward to a sort of bachelor party-coming of age-masculine baby shower ceremony on Navarre Beach. a Festive atmosphere filled with Barbeque, bonfires and beer. soon, the Master of Ceremony, a grizzled Biker dude complete with pony tail and beer gut, ordered the festivities come to a close and the ceremonial "Passing of The Ferret" begin. The men expecting their firstborn then lined up on the beach in the fashion of the coming of age ceremony in "ROOTS", minus the circumscision. (friend) then Joined the Master of Ceremony with a pail full of milk and a small paint brush. the Master of Ceremony himself, was cradling a rather large Blackfooted Ferret. As they moved down the line, (friend) dipped the small paintbrush into the milkpail, and slathered the man's right nipple with milk. At this, The Master of Ceremony made a speech about the sanctity of childbirth and how the Father must share in the pain of his woman to prepare him for blah blah blah I stopped paying attention blah. At the end of his drawn out speech, he handed the ferret to the first dude, who then enticed the ferret to suckle. The ferret then proceeded to do so, and showed no hesitation in the usage of his sharp weasel-teeth. When the ferret reached me, and bit down, I woke up to find a bedspring busted through my mattress and was poking my right nipple. Hilarious.

I'm sure your dream means nothing too serious, you should just relax and enjoy them from now on. its like having somebody take clips of your memory and make a hollywood production of them.

It could be a way of you trying to kill your feelings for this guy.If your not friends i assume you dont talk at all and you just admire him from afar.Maybe you should take a chance and talk to him,get to know him.Just because someone seems fine and happy dosnt mean they are.As for the dream im not sure it has any meaning it could be just a dream.I wouldnt stress to much about it unless you start having alot of dreams like that.
