Good job that I can manage with School

Question Posted Thursday November 11 2010, 1:18 am

I'm a full time student right now, and I need to find a decent paying job. I've been working since I was 15, so I have plenty to put on a resume. I don't want to compete for minimum wage jobs with every other college student, so I am willing to go through a certification process as long as it doesn't cost a lot. Any ideas on what I can do?

The one job that I can think of that pays well and allows for flexible working hours requires certification. Depending on what state you are in the course time can be anywhere from 80 hours to 120 hours. The good thing is this course may be available during a semester break on a condensed bases.

If you are interested the job I am thinking of is that of an EMT, Emergency Medical Technician. Working for a private Ambulance Service you would for the most part move patients between home and hospitals, hospitals and nursing homes.

Pay for this job runs, again depending on location anywhere from $9.75 to $12.00 + an hour with schedules that are flexible enough to work around your class schedule.

The first and third website say how much each job pays approximately per hour. The second one only gives a few that are probably not very helpful. But the third and first gives several good ideas.

Good Luck :)
