Nobody wants to talk to a person who is obviously fake, and nobody wants to have to pretend they're interested in things they just aren't worried about. Be yourself. If you like books then hang out in the library often. Find a place where you enjoy being or a place that is about things you are particularly interested in. You'll easily run into friend matches here.
Be open.
Nobody will ever know you, what you like, or what you don't like if you never open up and show them or tell them. If someone has reading an interesting book then inquire about it, strike up a conversation, or show your interest. It's really very easy.
Be friendly.
Nobody wants to try to be friends with the person who talks behind another's back, is aggressive, or seems to be scary. Be friendly and kind. If someone drops their books, make sure to help them pick them up. Compliment others. Smile often. [ Peeps's advice column | Ask Peeps A Question ]
