"pretty pretty" My crush told my friend that he thinks I am "pretty, pretty" as in like wow, you're pretty cool, except it's pretty pretty.
I'm debating if that's a compliment, I mean, it's cute but the way I take it as, I'm pretty, but not pretty enough.
Girls, would you take it as a compliment?

Being told you are "pretty" is a compliment.
Fairly pretty = compliment
Pretty pretty = compliment
The crush may not have the right "words" to use in this. Maybe you don't fit the sexy or hot categories just right but you are a pretty girl. If you're looking for him to say you're outstandingly gorgeous then he might just not have that sort of phrase in his vocabulary to toss out. Saying you're "REALLY" pretty might feel a little embarrassing to him, especially if he thinks his friend might make fun of him. It's best to play it safe and use those smaller, less-impact words in case the person says, "What?! She's hideous!" It reduces the risk of embarrassment. He also doesn't want to run into a trap--your friend says, "Do you think Suzy is pretty?" and he says, "Yeah! Wow, is she!" and she says, "Well, she hates your guts, loser!" Teens can be cruel.
I'd say thank you and be pleased by it, personally. ]
