Simply come up to the guy and say, "Hey, I think you're a really nice guy and I was hoping you might be free this weekend. Do you think you and I could get together and go out for pizza on Friday after school?"
Do something where you two can talk. Going to the movies might be your first idea but it leaves too much dead space. You aren't able to talk and get to know each other. He might think you're a WONDERFUL, lovely person but if he isn't able to get an idea of your personality then you might just end up being arm candy (or nothing at all).
So, confront the guy and see if you two can arrange a time to go out. Give him your phone number and let him know he can give you a call after school if he isn't too busy. If he calls, he's definitely interested. If he doesn't then just wait it out for the first "date" and see where things go from there.
So, try asking him out to go:
Skating
Bowling
Eating
Dancing
etc.
Something you two can chat while doing and have a little fun, too. Try something fairly plain at first until you find out what he likes. If you find out he, say, is extremely interested in history then you might be able to go out to the local museum later. You might be able to walk through the zoo if he's into wildlife. You might be able to go to an art gallery if he's into artsy things.
Sometimes you just have to make the first move. Take a step forward and see where it leads you. The worst he can say is, "No, I'm busy," and walk away. No big deal. You can get over that easy peasy. [ Peeps's advice column | Ask Peeps A Question ]
