Some people don't want to recognize this type of "relationship" since there is no blood relation for it and it isn't immediate family so make sure you speak with your stepson about what he prefers the step-grandchildren to refer to you as.
My grandmother is actually my step-grandmother, too. When I am around her I do refer to her as granny, grandma, or grandmother but in real life I usually don't acknowledge her existence because my parents never pressured me to believe she was actually my grandmother.
