entertainment business majors

Question Posted Monday September 27 2010, 1:20 pm

if someone can help me i will worship the ground you walk on.

i want to be an entertainment business major, either concentrating on music business or film/tv, movies business.

any colleges in north eastern US will be great. or preferably, the bay area (california). even southern california will be okay. but really, anywhere in the US haha

i cannot go to USC, NYU, or any school like that cause i'm not qualified lol. also not five towns college, or point park cause i've heard of them already.

omg i know that was really specific, but help me and i will <3 you.

Well, there is a place called Full Sail that even allows business entertainment majors to do online coursework:

Here is a great list of entertainment business resources:

That listed schools like THE COLLEGE OF WESTCHESTER
White Plains, New York; GLOBE UNIVERSITY
Woodbury, Minnesota; and INSTITUTE OF PRODUCTION AND RECORDING
Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Your best bet might to be to get some basic courses in at your local community college before taking off to something bigger. Sometimes getting a few English courses, mathematics, or foreign languages classes out of the way makes it much easier to be accepted into other universities out of state. In the meantime, it also gives you a great opportunity to talk with your local college counselors about where to go and how to pursue your dreams. They are the people that can help you the most since this is what they do for a living--get you to and through college!
