You WILL bruise easier, trust me, and you will get colder easier and have a lot less energy. Start taking iron rich vitamin, that's what my doctor recommended and they really help keep my energy up and my body healthy! :)
Peeps answered Monday September 13 2010, 12:12 am: Sure is pretty bad.
Can cause anemia, which seems to be the most common and well-known result. Anemia is a low red blood cell count.
Here are some other dangers of being low on iron (which, by the way, is more common in women than men):
Iron deficiency includes:
A defective immune system
Loss of fertility
Difficulty in swallowing
Inertia
Irritability
Confusion
Koilonychia (a flattened or spoon-shaped nail)
Lack a growth hormone
Brittle nails
Thinning hair / hairloss
Poor skin and pale skin
PMS
Breathlessness during minor activities
Excessive fatigue
Heart problems (tachycardia--rapid heart rate and/or palpitations)
Smooth tongue
Pica disorder
Fainting
Sleepiness
Depression
Twitching muscles
Tingling, numbness, or burning sensations
Infection of the tongue
Poor appetite
Infection of the creases of the mouth
Itchiness
Decreased oxygen
Headaches / migraines
From a scale of 1 to 10 how bad it is? Well, I'd like to keep my fertility, nails, hair, heart strength, infection-less tongue, and life. It's more serious than people think. I'd rate it a 10, personally, but, hey, maybe I'm too fond of the things I've listed above. [ Peeps's advice column | Ask Peeps A Question ]
