I haven't been drinking enough water lately and I feel like I'm really dehydrated and my skin feels dry even. I was wondering if there was anything I could drink or do that would get me hydrated fast? When I asked my mom she looked at me like I was crazy so maybe water is the only thing but I wanted to ask you guys first. Thankyou

I have a friend who gets dehydrated really fast and she gets dizzy and feels like she is about to pass out. She had to go to the doctors for that and they found that something was wrong. Well, she was on the verge of being there. I forgot what the name was for it..but she was almost at that point. So maybe see the doctor if it gets worse and keep drinking water. DirkGently answered Saturday September 11 2010, 5:45 am: If you are dehydrated, water is about the best thing for you. Gatorade, Pedialyte, or other electrolyte (read: salt) containing drinks are useful too.
If you prefer a more direct approach, you could get some IV saline (salt water pumped into your blood stream), but I wouldn't recommend it unless you are severely dehydrated and have medical training.
I'm more concerned with how you know you're dehydrated. In general, if you're thirsty or sick, you should drink more (assuming normal kidney function). Beyond that, you're probably not dehydrated.
