belly button: Piercing got infected...

i got my belly button pierced, but then it got infected so i took it out. but i still have the whole above my belly button. its ugly and i want it to go away...i know its just like everything else that has to heal, but is there anyway to make it go away faster?

I had the same problem. The only thing you could really do is neosporin to make it heal faster and scar cream to keep it from scarring. Mine scarred and is also really hard where the piercing went through. Go to the Dr. and make sure there's not infection stuck in the piercing (or squeeze it every once in awhile to get infection out). That will help it heal faster. Don't use rubbing alcohol because that will keep it clean but it destroys skin cells and will slow healing.
