The saliva gets under your skin and makes you itch. The best remedy for this, and please don't scoff or laugh because I have seen this work, is hemhorroid medicine. No joke! My mom and I have been using it for about a month now, and the bites go away in less than 48 hours!

When you get bitten, some saliva gets under your skin. That saliva contains histamines, which cause an allergic reaction and make you itch.

Best thing for bug bites is to take a Benadryl. It'll make you sleepy, but the antihistamine will stop the itching.
