Getting Pregnant While Using a Condom
My boyfriend and I were fooling around last month or so and we ended up having sex. We used protection though because we're both 15 and a baby is something we do NOT need right now. I had bought a small box of condoms just a few days before then, luckily.
So, we had sex and I had lost my virginity to him. I wasn't really worried about getting pregnant because I thought we were safe and doing it responsibly by using a condom. We had a great time but haven't had sex since then, by the way.
Now I am having a serious problem. My period hasn't come yet and it's pretty late (which is REALLY weird for me). I went out and bought a pregnancy test from the store and took it. It showed the positive sign on it so I guess I'm pregnant.
How'd I get pregnant? This doesn't even make sense to me! I mean, for one I was a VIRGIN. For two, we used a CONDOM. I didn't even have an orgasm when we were actually having sex. Is it really possible to get pregnant even though we used a condom?
My mom is going to be sooo mad! :(

you couldve gotten pregnant if the condom broke or if he didnt put it on properly. orgasms dont make you pregnant and even if this is your first time you could still get pregnant. sorry and i really feel for you. im 15 and im thinking of loosing my virginity and if i were you i wouldnt think of how it happened as much as what im going to do with the baby. if you dont want it you could give it up for adoption or if you dont want to do child birth you could have an abortion. hope this helps. and i rally feel for you. ( ps if your mom is mad at you tell her that you used a condom but it didnt work and then i would go see a doctor.)

Condoms don't always work sweetie and being a virgin doesn't lower your chances of becoming pregnant. Be honest with your mother, In time she will adjust to the situation. Also, Seeking planned parenthood will help you out too.

First off, the fact that you were a virgin has nothing to do getting pregnant- it can happen ever time. Secondly, orgasms, again, have no effect on getting pregnant. So, back to the condom issue. If he was wearing a condom the ENTIRE time you were having sex, the likelihood would be low that you his sperm could enter your vagina. However, it doesn't take much of his fluid to fertilize one of your eggs. Other things to consider is whether or not is was properly put on or if the condom was defective (IE porous); again, even a small amout of semen could cause the pregnancy.
I would recommend going to your doctor or clinic, many are very inexpensive and have them run a pregnancy test. After that, you can make the decision of what to do from there.

Having sex the first time is just the same as any other you just as obligated to get prgnant as another. Maybe he put the condom on wrong. Sometimes they break with the friction. When the boy ejaculates thats what gets you pregnant even if you dont have an oragasim. Condoms work when used right you just have to be more careful. Parents are more caring when things like that happened. Never really mad. just sad this happened to you. I wish the best for you.
