Hi, I am 17f and I just broke my foot at the beggining of summer. Usually I would have my job at the local grocery store, be able to take my dog for walks, go out with friends, and go visit people, but with a broken foot that is hard to do...
Now, I am stuck inside and though I have some hobbies (drawing, crocheting, sewing, baking, designing) I feel as if I need something more to do. Things get boring after a while. Most of my friends are out having fun, working, or are away. Without crutches I can stand up for about fifteen minutes before I need to sit, so I was able to make muffins the other day (Still a little hard though). I feel I am getting lazy sitting around most the time. I know it sounds crazy cause I can do lots.. I just need ideas or thoughts on how I can have a fun summer. It sucks to be stuck inside!

But there totally is a lot of things you can do, besides those you listed, to pass the time and have fun doing. You can have movie parties/junk foot fests with friends/family. Take up an instrument like guitar or clarinet or something. Learning an instrument is a great thing to do, you can sit comfortably doing it and its pretty time consuming, and relaxing as long as you aren't hard on yourself. Its also pretty mentally stimulating. You could also get into video games, theres something out there for everyone. You could also sit outside somewhere on nice days, read a book and soak up the sun. If its not too late to get a part time summer job, I'm sure you could find one where you can sit, like a desk receptionist help or something. trapnest answered Thursday July 15 2010, 10:19 am: You can always contact your friend family members of the same age and at weekend organise a sleepover with them. In the week days watch tv. play with pc... call some bff.... Try to not tell your friends that the day was boring. Let them talk listen to their experience of the day.
It may feel lonly but when listening imagine yourself in the same position the memories of the last summer. Hope that you will get better soon... and trust you. But you have to have at least a bit of a will.
When you are bored of doing the same thing... Go out in the balcony or at the window and watch the sunset or the stars.
